Finance Bookkeeper (RE-ADVERTISEMENT)

Department: FinanceReports To: Finance ManagerSalary Range: Market RelatedLocation: East LondonClosing Date: 30 April 2025 at 16:00Position Overview:Finance Assistant/ Bookkeeper will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and consistency in financial records through reconciliations and financial processing tasks. This role requires a detail-oriented individual to manage various reconciliation processes, handle invoicing and payments, and oversee additional financial tasks. He/She  will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of financial operations and reporting within the organization.Key Responsibilities:Perform supplier reconciliations to ensure all supplier statements are accurately matched with internal records.Perform customer reconciliation to ensure all customer payments are accurately matched with internal records.Conduct Debtors and Creditors reconciliations to manage outstanding payments and receivables aswell as resolve discrepancies.Execute bank reconciliations to confirm that bank statements align with internal records.Oversee VAT reconciliations to ensure compliance with tax regulations and accurate VAT reporting.Carry out PO(Purchase Order) reconciliations to verify that all POs are matched with corresponding invoices and receipts.Reconcile petty cash to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of cash expenditures.Manage invoicing processes, including the creation, issuance, and tracking of invoices.Handle the receipt and recording of payments, ensuring timely and accurate processing.Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, ensuring proper recording and tracking of all company assets.Create and link projects to related expenditures, ensuring accurate project costing and financial tracking.Process  claims and ensure they are properly documented and reimbursed.Manage insurance claims, including documentation and communication with insurance providers.Perform Retail Stores– Retail Management Systems (RMS) bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between the RMS system and bank records.Conduct stock takes for Retail Stores to ensure inventory records match physical stockcounts.Prepare monthly remittance for Retail Stores, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.Verify and process commission checks for Retail Stores, ensuring proper calculations and payments.Undertake various office tasks related to financial operations as needed.Requirements:Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or any related field.At least 2-3 years of experience in a financial or reconciliation role.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency infinancial software and systems (e.g., SAGE).Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Enquiries may be directed to Zenande Makubalo @ 043 722 2294. Temporary IT Technicians

Location: East London, On-Site Contract Duration: 2 Months (Possible 1-Month Extension)Closing Date: 22 November 2024   We are currently seeking 10 ICT graduates dedicated and reliable to join our team for an important ICT project in East London. This is a temporary role, expected to last 2 months, with a possibility for an additional month depending on project needs. The ideal candidates will assist with installing basic software, Asset Tagging, and Packaging equipment for distribution.
